Purple-K Mobile extinguisher

Purple K extinguisher, Potassium Bicarbonate based dry chemical, is a premium powder suitable for use in high-risk areas such as: refineries, chemical plants and airfields where superior fire extinguishing capabilities are of paramount importance. It is suitable for use on either Class B or E type fires. Airports have recognized the capability of PK and use it extensively in twin agent fire extinguishing systems.

For fires involving flammable liquids, gases and greases (Class B) including such fires when involved with energized electrical equipment (Class E). Because of its excellent fire fighting effectiveness, ‘Purple-K’ is widely used in the petroleum industry and in other areas where the fire risk is high.

‘Purple-K’ is extremely effective against Class B fires, and has been shown to be at least 4 to 5 times as effective in extinguisher applications as carbon dioxide, and more than twice as effective as sodium bicarbonate based extinguishants.

Also available in 30Kg, 70Kg, and 90Kg wheeled mobile units.

8KG of this extinguishant has obtained a 80B:E rating under test conditions for a portable fire extinguisher given in AS 1850.
